A new addition to the guitar collection!
by bluesman6149 on Oct.22, 2009, under Bits of useless info :-)

as promised, finally a picture of it!
Ive been hunting high and low for a reasonably priced fender telecaster. However, i cant really find one, so i have been looking at other models of guitars that are relatively cheap, and look good, and sound good too. Found one online the other day, of a make and model id never really heard of before, its a Black Knight 180q (will post a picture of it on soon) and i finally had it delivered the other day. I took one look at it in amazement at the build quality. It has a lush blue crushed velevet/wave appearance on the top, with a dark mahogony back. Plus gold effect fittings and tuning pegs. Looked the bees knees! Loks alot like a PRS!
Anyways, got it plugged in last night for a strum, and to my relief, it also sounds as good as it looks! Worked out a few buzzes here and there on the fret board, lifted the bridge slightly and changed the strings. It also has a higher action the my strat, so its also ideal for bottleneck work without hitting frets and the neck!
As i said before, i will post a picture of it on soon, however until then you will just have to believe what ive written!
Just another catch up post for you. Back soon!
Yaaawwn! Still waiting!!

Well, its been a while since i added a new post to the site, so thought id better say something for you avid readers!
The guys from the band (ian, mark, and john) have swapped a few cd’s with each other for new material to plunge into, so we are currently working on that…Well myself and Mark are, however John the lucky person, is currently in Turkey lapping up the sunshine and probably the odd small drink! hehe Hope your having a good time John!
So thats where we are at the moment, still waiting to get emails back from various venues across the region, and awaiting phone calls. I myself have been working on maybe adding some zz top(suggested by john) to the set, and figuring out if the songs I have suggested would be workable in a 3 piece band. I am also writing some new material, and were hoping if we can get 6 original songs together, there maybe a cd in the pipeline! Fingers crossed folks!!
Anyway, thats all to report for now im sorry to say, but please keep your comments coming in, and ill be back to give you more news soon!..I hope! Ttfn
Ian.
Demo cd’s are done and on their way out!

Finally, we have the demo cd’s finished, 6 songs from our recording session onto disc. The songs are-
Days of old, Work Gang, Help the Poor, Houston Angel, Sweet home Chicago, and Put it right back. Each of the songs are covers, but obviously given a slight twist due to the fact were just a 3 piece band. Thats the clever part
lol
Got a few discs out around Darlington so were just waiting now……..
